Su Kraus is owner and joint founder of Moosa Creek Nursery, a wholesale nursery specializing in California native plants. In 2004 when the nursery was conceived nobody expected it to become one of Southern California’s premier native plant nurseries; least of all, Su! It was intended as a retirement project but quickly became an overriding passion and now the Moosa Creek team grows over 400 species and varieties of California native plants. As manager of the nursery Su has guided many projects to successful fruition, including large scale restoration projects such as the Stadium Wetlands project in San Diego, the restoration and landscaping portion of Robertson Ranch in Carlsbad and freeway planting projects on many of San Diego’s freeways for Caltrans. Additionally, Moosa Creek Nursery has been on a mission to make California’s native plants more easily available and accessible to Southern California’s gardeners through its network of retail nursery partners.

Su Kraus has a degree from University of Warwick, UK and a masters in International Business from University of Buckinghamshire, UK. Su had a background in business, and raised 4 wonderful children with husband Hank, before California natives took over her life.
