The San Diego Horticultural Society's Horticulturist of the Year for 2022 honoree, John Clements, Director of Gardens at the San Diego Botanic Garden, will be presented his award and speak to us about what horticulture means to him in his native work habitat.
John Clements has been a horticultural professional for 46 years. Former nursery owner, gardener and koi pond builder to the rich and famous, horticulturalist, commercial fruit tree farmer, garden writer, agricultural historian, co-administrator of the San Diego Gardener Facebook group, and Director of Gardens at the 37-acre San Diego Botanic Garden.

It is on a Tuesday (not a Monday)
It is at the San Diego Botanic Garden (not at Congregation Beth Israel)
It is at 3 p.m. (not at 6. p.m.)
It will not be on Zoom
It is for members only (if you wish to attend consider joining the SDHS!)
Attendance is free and for SDHS members by reservation only. The registration process will be similar to how the Sharing Gardens attendance is handled; members will receive an email outlining how to register . . . Thank you for your understanding!
