AUGUST 2024 MEETING REPORT: SDHS 30th Anniversary Celebration & Botanical Building & Gardens Update w/ Jackie Higgins & Phillip Sammuli, VPs of Forever Balboa Park

The August 2024 meeting at SD Oasis in Rancho Bernardo was the 30th Anniversary of the San Diego Horticultural Society and, besides delicious cake, there were party favors and hats! There was no cake left at the end of the meeting. One member said "great party" as she left and it was!

In honor of our birthday and our presentation, the door prizes were many and mostly all from the gift shop at the Balboa Park Visitors Center. There was BP swag; reusable bag, t-shirt, mug, visor, magnet, teatowel, pin, sticker, pen and a patch!

Cathy Tylka was the lucky recipient of the BP t-shirt door prize at the meeting and is already proudly wearing it!
