As summer begins, our education classes at San Diego Botanic Garden really heat up! This month we invite you to try one of our most popular classes – either Nature Bathing, the art of mindfully walking in nature for wonderful health benefits (both physical and mental), or our step-by-step DIY Living Wall/Vertical Garden class. Both are being offered the morning of Sunday, June 16th. Don’t worry if you want to do both. We offer these popular classes almost every month. Try one today by registering at SDBGarden.org/classes or call 760/436-3036 x201.

Nature Bathing: Shinrin-yoku or Forest Bathing is a way of connecting people to nature. This idea, and the positive health effects of simply being and walking in a state of relaxation in a natural environment, has undergone significant scientific testing and validation in Japan and Korea. This innovative programming is trending in gardens and nature reserves across the country. You will be amazed at the results! Sunday, June 16, 9 – 11am.

Living Wall/Vertical Garden: Learn the basics of planting a living wall/vertical garden by planting your own 10" x 20" wall with a variety of succulents, in a multitude of colors, textures and sizes. Living walls can be beautifully displayed both indoors or out. REGISTER EARLY. These classes will sell out! Sunday, June 16, 9am – 12pm.
