Our March meeting marked the launch of Jeff Moore's latest book, Soft Succulents. Our Succulent Plant and Pottery Marketplace was a resounding success! We signed up several new members at the meeting, who we welcome to SDHS.
Our upcoming April meeting will feature a panel of three experts from the San Diego Zoo's Institute for Conservation Research who will discuss "Saving Flora, One Seed at a Time". There has been an enormous amount of interest in this topic in social media and within our membership. Be sure to come learn what these experts have to say on this extremely interesting and important topic.
At the March Board of Directors meeting, the Board voted to participate in the San Diego Botanic Garden's Dickinson Family Education Conservatory Commemorative Tile Program. Anyone who is interested can make a donation to this worthy cause and create a legacy in honor of their family, the memory of a loved one, or to celebrate an important event. Go to the Garden's website to learn more about selecting an engraved commemorative tile that will be permanently displayed with others on columns throughout the Conservatory.
